What color and where do I get the plastic dye for interior plastic? 2. What is the correct carpet color? 3. I have heard that they dont make the seat ulpholstry for the 84 ss anymore and that you have to go to the 83 ss ? Is this correct? I guess I dont mind since the 83 had some cool ss headrests...... 4. Where/can I get just the blue carpet pieces for say the back speaker deck? I think that is it for now? BUT, I don't believe you can get the original style upholstery. Did you have those seat covers made or are they PUI brand? The reason I ask is that the blue actually looks closer to the original color than what is offered by any aftermarket supplier. I bought 10 yards of material from SMS for my car with plenty to spare for future use if needed, and it was expensive! The PUI covers have a green tint to the blue like what is seen in the 86-up GM trucks and the 86 Monte Carlos from what I was told. The pattern of the fabric isn't even close. Yours look like a velour of some sort, is there a pattern in the cloth? Can you post a close up picture of the blue? Looks good! The SEM Bluemist #15213 is a dead-on match for most of the 84 blue interior IMO Actually that is too light for the 83-84 blue interior though it is the closest available without buying from Mike's or other aftermarket suppliers. The correct color was discontinued about 2 years ago and it was Regal Blue #15773. I bought a case of 6 cans from the local NAPA warehouse here in Nashville when they pulled them off the market. I'm not sure what brand they are but the label on the box says Empress Blue. Now that you mention it these seem "bluer" than the blue bucket ones I put in my other car. I know what you mean about the greenish tint. I don't have that car here to compare right now as its in storage though. I bought a couple of cans of the custom mix blue and I used the SEM Bluemist for the first few coats and top coated with the custom stuff. I'm trying to ration it.
